Laser Engravable Compounds

The newest laser systems have the ability to engrave dots finer than many normal elastomers allow. The grains in normal rubber materials are just too large to engrave the specialized microscopic dots. To engrave the finest and most precise dots, the elastomer materials must be compounded with new fine grain materials that are also acceptable to laser engraving. Since we have expertise in laser technology, we have formulated compounds with these finer grains to achieve the desired dot size and shape while also accepting the heat of the laser. These updated laser engravable compounds allow us to take full advantage of the latest laser technology available in our recently deployed laser engraving systems.

We have laser engravable materials specially formulated for different ink systems and manufacturing operations. Individual laser engravable elastomers are formulated for water, solvent, or UV ink systems. Our special laser compounds are specifically designed for applications ranging from flexographic printing to paper embossing.
